For two generations, the Hopkins family has built a name you can trust. From humble beginnings to full-service custom builds, Hopkins Construction combines hands-on leadership, deep local roots, and decades of experience to deliver high-quality construction in Lake County and surrounding areas.
Mark Hopkins
owner and operator
Mark started his career in 1968 as a laborer digging ditches for a small construction company. After graduating from high school and while attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, he gained experience working for various general contractors, advancing through the ranks from Apprentice to Journeyman Carpenter, and eventually becoming a Foreman. With his independent spirit, it was only a matter of time before he launched his own company, Hopkins Construction, and obtained his California Contractors License in 1987.
Jeremy Hopkins
Mark had always dreamed that his son would follow in his footsteps and embrace the world of construction, ultimately working alongside him as a father-son team. Even as a toddler, Jeremy accompanied Mark to job sites, proudly sporting a makeshift tool belt filled with plastic tools. Over the years, Jeremy spent his summers working alongside his father, and after graduating from college, Mark’s dream was realized when Jeremy joined the family business full-time. Now, with 25 years of experience under his belt, Jeremy is an indispensable part of Hopkins Construction, expertly overseeing the crew and managing the job site with skill and dedication.
Building Strong Foundations On and Off the Job Site
Hopkins Construction is not only dedicated to creating stunning residential and commercial projects, but also deeply committed to giving back to the community. We actively volunteer and donate to a variety of organizations, including the Lake County Deputy Sheriff’s Association Shop with a Cop fundraiser, Adventist Health Clear Lake, Westshore Youth Basketball League, Westshore Junior Football League, Lakeport Fire Department, Inderkum Tigers Football, Clear Lake High School Cardinals Football, and Westshore Community Park, among others.
